EPI Ingredients

EPI Ingredients draws part of its nutritional, texturising and gustatory properties from milk and its components, to develop, produce and commercialise a complete range of dairy ingredients for the food industries. With the strength of its affiliation with one of the major French Dairy co-operative groups, Laïta (created in 2009 by EVEN, TERRENA and TRISKALIA), EPI Ingredients benefits from technological and scientific support and high level technical facilities .Over one billion litres of milk are collected among 4000 farmers all members of our "Paysan Breton" (Breton farmers) charter, the guarantee of traceability above reproach. EPI Ingredients produces 70,000 tons of dairy ingredients each year.

4 production sites:

• Laïta Yffiniac : One spray tower, Ultrafiltration, Fermentation (Kosher and Halal certified),
• Laïta Créhen: Two spray towers, Casein plant, Extrusion, Ultrafiltration, (Kosher and Halal certified),
• Laïta Ancenis: Two spray towers, including one multi-stage dryer, Dry mixing workshop, Ultrafiltration,
• Laïta Landerneau: Three spray towers, including one multi-stage dryer.

These 4 sites are ISO 9001 certified and engaged in a HACCP and environmental approach.


Technological equipment dedicated to our R&D:

• Ancenis: One applications laboratory, One pilot hall (Thermal platform and drying tower).
• Créhen: One pilot hall (Extrusion).

By means of our developments, we provide original and innovative solutions to food industrialists: we have combined the "flavour and texture of dairy ingredients" with our approach, thus making TASTE a full fledged functionality and a vector of quality for the finished products.

We particularly strive to test the functional and taste properties of our ingredient in the precise application used by our sponsor customer.

- Skimmed or fat enriched dairy functional blends,
